Get hands-on with micro:bit CreateAI and explore ways to bring AI into K–8 classrooms
Participants will collect movement data, train and test a simple AI model, and program a micro:bit to respond. We’ll connect these activities to New Jersey’s proposed 2027 computer science standards, and discuss how to adapt them for different grade levels.
Each participant will receive a micro:bit and battery pack to keep.

Introduction to Praxis Pseudocode
This hands-on workshop prepares educators, career-changers, and aspiring CS teachers for the Praxis Computer Science exam by building fluency in computational thinking and Praxis-style pseudocode. Participants will practice decomposition, pattern recognition, and algorithmic design through exam-style problems, then move into core programming fundamentals such as control structures, data types, and object-oriented programming concepts like classes, inheritance, and encapsulation.
Through a mix of short lectures, guided practice, and small-group work, attendees will leave with practical pseudocode skills and strategies for confidently approaching unfamiliar algorithm questions on exam day.
