What We Offer

GRADES K-5 PD
All below workshops are free for ALL NEW JERSEY TEACHERS, with eligibility for receiving a STIPEND for attending! Seats are extremely limited, so apply for a seat as soon as possible (application at the bottom of the page). Once your application is accepted, you must RSVP and lock in your seat, attend the session in full, and you will be eligible receive a stipend for your attendance and participation. You may only attend the same workshop once (i.e. You cannot attend CSF once in September 2023, and once in January 2024 to receive two stipends). One seat per participant. Become a partner district, and receive priority access to all workshops and stipend seats.​

Elementary Code.org Intro Workshop

Receive $300 stipend for attending session in full.

Led by Ms. Karen Rubinstein​
This workshop is intended for K-5 teachers who have little to no experience teaching algorithms and programming (coding) or using the
K-5 Code.org curriculum which includes CS Fundamentals and CS Connections. This workshop will introduce the algorithms and programming standard, review basic programming concepts and explore unplugged and plugged activities.
Praxis Test Reimbursement & Practice Tests
Praxis test reimbursement and pre-paid Praxis practice tests available. Inquire with the Hub at turner25@tcnj.edu to access these materials and funds.​

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
After School Elementary School (Gr. K-5) CS Program 5-Teacher Cohort:

The Hub is creating a pilot CS after-school program for elementary school teachers to implement at their elementary schools. This Grades K-5 program will be aligned to the NJSLS-CS and professional development sessions will be offered for free to prepare Hub partners and non-partners to learn the best practices to create a CS after school program at an elementary school.

After School High School (Gr. 9-12) CS Program 5-Teacher Cohort:

The Hub is creating a pilot CS after-school program for high school teachers to implement at their high schools.
